I began this tumblr almost exactly a year ago, when I realised that my lifestyle had become unhealthy and I was overweight.

I lost weight through diet and exercise, also lost a fair chunk through having chicken pox for 2 weeks, and reached my lowest weight right in time for starting my second year at university. Unfortunately, even though I managed to keep it off for the first term, the weight just sneaked back up again. So, here I am once more, trying to get to my goal weight and body composition. I'm still determined to never see my highest weight on a scale again.

I have just binged on junk food in a way I have never done before. Decided no more crash dieting and kidding myself. It’s time to take life more slowly, meditate and stop relying on external stimulation like food, cigarettes, alcohol and mdma to make myself feel better. If I am feeling ill and tired: go home, sleep, drink lots of water and eat good food. If I’m feeling bored and depressed for no reason, go for a run. And don’t give up on socialising and networking, but if you find yourself in the company of people who are boring and draining it’s much better to get a bit of time to yourself and save your energy for the cool, interesting people you need in your life.
